Tai Christensen Leads CMBA’s Diversity and Inclusion Efforts

We’re proud to share that Tai Christensen, President of Arrive Home, has been appointed as the Chair of the California Mortgage Bankers Association (CMBA) Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Committee. In this role, Tai will work alongside Vice-Chair Stephanie Whittenberg to advance the CMBA’s commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within the mortgage industry.

With over two decades of experience in the mortgage sector, Tai brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her new role. Her appointment is a continuation of CMBA’s ongoing efforts to enhance DE&I, an initiative that has been a focal point since the committee’s launch in 2021. Tai’s leadership is expected to drive more meaningful conversations and actions toward inclusivity in the mortgage industry.

Tai’s dedication to diversity and inclusion is not new. Throughout her career, she has been a strong advocate for bridging the homeownership gap in underserved communities. “This is an initiative that has been important to me since I began my career in this space more than 20 years ago,” Tai said in a recent media release. She emphasized the importance of diversifying the mortgage workforce to help more people of color secure home loans—a mission that remains central to her work.

In addition to her role with the CMBA, Tai serves on the board of AXIS 360 Lift, an organization focused on educating and empowering individuals pursuing careers in the mortgage industry. She is also the Advisory Chair of the American Mortgage Diversity Council and hosts the California MBA’s monthly DE&I podcast, where industry leaders discuss initiatives aimed at promoting diversity in mortgage lending.

We are excited to see the impact Tai will continue to make in her leadership role with the CMBA, as she works to advance the conversation around diversity, equity, and inclusion in the mortgage sector.
